Notting Hill Carnival: Travel and Safety Advice

Dear residents, 

With Notting Hill Carnival taking place over the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend, we encourage anyone attending to plan their journey there and home in advance.

Many London Underground stations near the Carnival route will be closed for part or all of the day, and some bus routes will be diverted or suspended. Public transport is expected to be extremely busy, particularly at the end of each day, so please allow extra time for your journey.

One particularly important piece of advice is to agree a meeting point with friends or family before you arrive. Mobile phone signals can become unreliable in heavily crowded areas, making it more difficult to contact people if you become separated.

Police will be at the Carnival to help ensure that everyone attending has a safe and enjoyable Carnival weekend.
